Blackwood Podiatry is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our staff, patients and visitors.
We have developed a COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Action Plan based on advice provided by the Australian Government Department of Health, SA Health and The Australian Podiatry Association.
As per our action plan, we have implemented a range of measures, which includes:
A communication strategy for patients attending our clinics.
Providing telehealth consultation options for those who do not wish to leave their home.
Organising special appointment times for vulnerable patients so that they are the only patient in the clinic at the time, to limit their contact with members of the public.
Rescheduling podiatry appointments for people who are displaying symptoms of COVID-19.
Rescheduling podiatry appointments for people who are close contacts of confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Ensuring that appropriate social distancing measures are in place.
Removing all magazines and books, as well as the children’s toy box, from the waiting room.
Conducting regular cleaning of all hard surfaces in the office area and waiting room.
Encouraging hand-hygiene practices among all patients and visitors to decrease microorganism transfer.
Providing alcohol-based hand rub throughout the practice.
Asking patients/visitors to wear a mask if they are displaying any symptoms such as coughing or sneezing.
